Once upon a time was a post office abandoned to the winds and oblivion.

But that still stood there. There: one of the nicest places in Cannes. Right at the centre of the city, with a view over the harbor and the majestic Suquet neighborhood. There was born the new hotel in Cannes, the Five Hôtel & Spa.

Works took a long time, a very long time. Architects built a beautiful building out of rubble and dust. A long renovation, the last step to the fulfillment of dreams and travel ideas by passionately creative architects, globetrotter chefs, agitators of senses, determined promoters, wildly resourceful designers.

Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet played with colors and materials, wood, stone, glass. Refinement, luxury and exception are everywhere in there, from the floor to the ceiling. Everywhere in the five floors of that new palace of wonders, its 30 rooms and 15 suites, its Sea Sens restaurant by Jacques & Laurent Pourcel, its Gourmet lounge, its Spa, its meeting rooms and swimming pool. Five extremely, deliciously surprising floors to reach the sky and sun. On the last floor is the restaurant, the Sea Sens that extends over a majestic deck with a stainless steel swimming pool.

J&L Pourcel chose to set up the restaurant on the last floor. Do not go there if you are looking for Cannes glitter and starlets. The place is plainly yet warmly elegant. Color is used stylishly, light maliciously plays with it. To better enhance sweet escapes to the world of traveling gastronomy. Originally set between the sun and the palm trees. In a modern atmosphere characterized by sobriety. Charm and elegance. For gourmet travelers J&L Pourcel designed a menu of colors and freshness, exotic flavors, a "celebration cuisine, inspired in Asia, characterized by Mediterranean influences, to sparkle senses, with no will to chase after restaurant stars". A cuisine that combines authentic local products and influences from their constant travels between the West and the East.  A daring, happy, peculiar cuisine. Interpreted by chef Stéphane Giono.
